What are the Statewide Help Me Grow
Workshops?
The Statewide Help Me Grow workshops serve
to assist the
Bureau of Early Intervention Services (BEIS)
in the training and personnel development of provider's working in the
Help Me Grow System. The
Family Child Learning
Center is the coordinating agency for three of the Statewide Help Me Grow
workshops.
Help Me Grow workshops are designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of
professionals serving children who have or are at risk of developmental
delays or disabilities, their families, and the general public. Training
is also open to families receiving services in Ohio's Birth to Three
system.
The workshops reflect family-centered practices and are conducted by
parent-provider teams. Activities conducted to measure the effectiveness
of the workshops demonstrate that the training sessions broaden the
knowledge base of participants, are relevant to their occupations, and
lead to significant changes through the implementation of best practices.

How much do the workshops cost? |
All
trainings are provided at NO charge to participants.

What time are the workshops? |
All
workshops are full day events. The sessions run from 8:50 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. with an hour lunch break. Please check your confirmation letter
to confirm specific starting and ending times. Lunch will be on your own.

Are credit/contact hours available? |
Nursing, Social Work and Early Intervention contact hours are
available. For further

registration@familychild.org. Successful completion of the program
is required for any certificate.

How can I register for a workshop? |
To
register, please call Kathy Wilson at the Family Child Learning Center
(330) 633-2055 or complete the online registration form available for
each workshop. If you choose to register online, remember that your
registration is NOT confirmed until you get an E-mail confirmation in
return. A letter and map with directions to the training location will
be mailed to all participants close to the training date.
